In 2019 Trine became the new Chief editor and publisher in Aftenposten.

Ms Turid Elisabeth Solvang is an international corporate governance expert. In 2016, Ms Solvang founded FutureBoards AS, a project-driven company and a global network of experts and practitioners committed to building better boards that supports sustainable value creation. Ms. Solvang is co-founder and former CEO of the Norwegian Institute of Directors, former board member and chair of the European Confederation of Directors’ Associations. As Chair, she represented ecoDa on the board of the Global Network of Director Institutes. Ms. Solvang is also co-founder, member of the Advisory Board, as well as former vice chair of European Women on Boards. Ms. Solvang holds an MSc in General Business from BI Norwegian Business School, and she has held non-executive directorships in the financial and service sectors and membership organizations. Ms Solvang is a seasoned international speaker and writer on corporate governance topics, including women on boards.

Professor Mervyn E. King is chair of the King Committee on Corporate Governance for South Africa and an international corporate governance thought leader. The 4th edition of the King Report has been cited as "the most effective summary of the best international practices in corporate governance”.

He has been a chairman, director and chief executive of several companies listed on the London, Luxembourg and Johannesburg Stock Exchanges. He has consulted, advised and spoken on legal, business, advertising, sustainability and corporate governance issues in 53 countries and has received many awards.  He is the author of two books on governance and sustainability and sits as an arbitrator and mediator internationally.

Torbjørn Wist is Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS), having joined the company in March 2018. In addition, Wist is also SAS’ senior representative and spokesperson in Norway.   

Wist joined SAS from Telenor, the Norwegian telecommunications group, where he worked for 13 years holding senior positions in finance and several board memberships.  Immediately prior to joining SAS, he served more than 5 years as Group Treasurer of Telenor.  

Before joining Telenor, Wist spent 11 years in investment banking in New York and London, having worked for Salomon Brothers, Merrill Lynch and Greenhill & Co.   

Wist holds a business degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada. He is married with three sons and resides in Stabekk, Norway. 

Richard Milne is the Financial Times' Nordic and Baltic Correspondent, based in Oslo, and covering everything in the region from business and economics to politics and culture. He took over the role in July 2012 after two years as capital markets editor. He started at the FT on its graduate trainee scheme in 2003 before working in Paris and Frankfurt. In 2008, he was named European business correspondent. He read English Law and French Law at King's College London and the Sorbonne in Paris from 1997-2001

Ms Nina Jensen is CEO of REV Ocean, a not-for-profit company created with one overarching purpose and ambition: To make the ocean healthy again. Any profit generated from their projects will be reinvested into their work for a healthier ocean. The company was established July 20th, 2017 and funded by Norwegian business-man Kjell Inge Røkke. Nina started in her position in 2018 after 15 years in WWF-Norway, as CEO since 2012. Nina is marine biologist from James Cook University i Australia and arctic marine biologist from Norges fiskerihøgskole in Tromsø.

Kimberley is a Director of Engagement based in the London office. She focuses on engagements with companies in the SDG Engagement Equity Fund, and also covers North America and Pharmaceuticals pursuant to the Hermes EOS engagement plan. Prior to joining Hermes, Kimberley was a consultant to foundations and venture capital firms on impact investing in emerging markets. Kimberley led the Global Corporate Responsibility/Social Investment team at Pfizer Inc, where she was responsible for the strategy and implementation of the company’s ex-US corporate responsibility work. She designed and led the Pfizer Foundation programme, including its work in social finance and global health. Prior to this, she led the emerging markets policy work at AstraZeneca. In addition, Kimberley has held roles in philanthropy, law and politics in both the US and UK. Kimberley is a US-qualified attorney, with a BA and JD from the University of Virginia; she also has an MA from London Business School, where she was a Sloan Fellow.

Kerrie is responsible for delivering ICGN’s extensive work programme of policy representation, international conferences, education and guidance across 50 markets. She has been instrumental in shaping ICGN’s strategy to drive global governance reform over the past decade and has led rapid membership growth which today includes investors responsible for assets under management in excess of US$34 trillion. 

Prior to her appointment at ICGN, Kerrie directed high profile governance initiatives at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales where she led a cross-Atlantic initiative focused on US-UK corporate governance. Earlier, she was international professional development manager at the UK Institute of Directors, where she established IoD International and the Global Director Development Circle (now known as the Global Network of Director Institutes). 

Kerrie is a lead author of the IFC’s Global Director Training Toolkit which has helped establish governance associations around the world and co-authored the Handbook on International Corporate Governance (2004), among a series of other publications. Kerrie was named Rising Star of Corporate Governance by the Millstein School of Corporate Governance and Performance at the Yale School of Management (2008).  In February 2017, Kerrie was appointed to the Japan Financial Services Council of Experts on revisions to the Japan Stewardship Code.

A chartered company secretary and fellow of ICSA, she holds a BA honors degree in international business and Japanese.

Andresen has been the owner of Ferd, one of the largest privately held companies in Norway, since 1998. He served in the position of CEO from 1998 to 2012, and has been the chair of the board since 2012.

Andresen also chairs the Council on Ethics for the Government Pension Fund Global. He also serves as a board member of SEB - Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB in Sweden, NMI – Nordic Microfinance Initiative, and Junior Achievement-Europe. Johan has a BA from Darthmouth College and a MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus.

Amra Balic, Managing Director, is Head of BlackRocks EMEA Investment Stewardship team based in London.

Amra is responsible for leading BlackRocks investment stewardship efforts in London, covering company engagement including voting in Europe, the Middle East and Africa on behalf of BlackRocks clients globally and integration of extra financial issues in the investment process. She is an alumna of BlackRock’s Women’s Leadership Forum. Amra is also a member of the European Commission (EC) Expert Group on technical aspects of corporate governance processes.

Amra is an active participant in the public corporate governance, stewardship and responsible investment debate and as such regularly speaks on the importance of these issues for company performance and investment decisions. Amra represents BlackRock on a number of industry bodies including the UK Investment Association Corporate Governance and Engagement Committee and the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (UK) Stewardship Advisory Group. Amra is also a board member of Eumedion, the leading Dutch association representing institutional investors interests in the field of corporate governance and sustainability. Amra is also a member of the FRC Investor Advisor Group.

Prior to joining BlackRock, Amra spent 14 years working on issues surrounding investors and investment decisions ranging from analysis of financial and extra-financial issues, deal origination, investment appraisal and management. Amra joined BlackRock after 11 years with Standard Poors (now S&P Global), where she was a Director in European Corporate Credit Ratings. During her time at SP Amras responsibilities included integration of corporate governance into the credit ratings process. Amra started her career in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), London in 1997 as a financial analyst.

Amra holds a B.A. (Hons) Economics and MSc Accounting and Finance from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Karin Greve-Isdahl has been Executive Vice President, Communications, Sustainability & Public Affairs at Storebrand since 2017. Storebrand offers insurance, asset management, and banking services. Based in Norway, Storebrand has app 1,789 employees and revenue of NOK 4.18bn.

Prior to this, she was Vice President of Communications at Opera Software, a company which develops web browsers for mobiles and desktops. Before this, Karin was Communicator Director of SN Power, a renewable energy company. Karin has approximately 15 years of work experience starting from CNBC Europe as a Researcher.

Karin holds a Bachelor´s degree in Comminucations and Master´s degree in International Relations from Bond University, Australia. She speaks five languages.

Rolf Barmen, born in 1964, is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Company. Mr Barmen has been the CEO of Fjordkraft since 2013 and became also the chairman of Trondheim Kraft AS at that time. He has extensive experience as a chief executive officer within the telecommunication industry including with Telering AS from 1999 until 2008, Chess Communication from 2008 until 2011 and NextGenTel from 2011 until 2013. Furthermore, he has experience as regional director at Telenor Telehus and operations manager at IKEA Bergen, as well as the Chairman of Sportsklubben BRANN.

Mr Barmen holds a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration (siviløkonom) from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

Leyla Boulton is an Executive Editor at the Financial Times and the Editor of Special Reports. She joined the FT as a correspondent in Moscow in 1990-4, covering the fall of the Soviet Union and the birth of 15 independent states. As the global environment correspondent, she reported on the Kyoto protocol negotiations, the world’s first attempt to limit carbon emissions.

Posted to Turkey from 1998-2003, Leyla witnessed the rise of Recep Tayyip Erdogan as well as Turkish economy and business. Leyla’s roles since 2003 have included international economy news editor; web pioneer driving the integration of online and print news at the FT, a champion of diversity.

She won a scholarship to study Modern Languages at Cambridge university, before gaining an MA in international journalism at London’s City university. In 1992 she was part of the team that won a UK press award for the Financial Times’ investigation into Robert Maxwell. A US-UK national of Turkish origin, Leyla was highly commended in the Asian Women of
Achievement awards UK 2019. Last summer she completed Stanford business school’s Ignite programme on how to turn ideas into fundable ventures.

Mr Jens Ulltveit-Moe is owner and CEO of Umoe, and was formerly Chairman of Petroleum Geo-Services.

Ulltveit-Moe was educated at the Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen and School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University in the United States. Jens Ulltveit-Moe has been president of Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise. Jens Ulltveit-Moe has held several prominent public positions and occasionally comments on climate-related issues in the media. He is a fellow of the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences.

Remi Eriksen is the Group President and CEO of DNV GL Group (2015-). He has extensive management and technical experience from his more than 25 years in DNV GL within the maritime, oil and gas and renewable energy sectors in Asia, Europe and Americas.

He is also one of two Norwegian members of the Executive Committee of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

Beate Sjåfjell is Professor Dr. Juris at the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo, and holds a fractional appointment as Adjunct Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Faculty of Economics. Sjåfjell is founder and head of the Oslo Faculty’s research group Companies, Markets and Sustainability, as well as of several international networks and projects.

Her largest project to date is the EU-funded project Sustainable Market Actors for Responsible Trade (SMART) (2016-2020). Currently the SMART team is developing reform proposals to support the transition to sustainability, aiming to change the way business and finance operate, and the way products are produced and consumed.

Sjåfjell’s publications include the co-edited volumes Cambridge Handbook of Corporate Law, Corporate Governance and Sustainability (Cambridge University Press, 2019); Creating Corporate Sustainability (Cambridge University Press, 2018); Company Law and Sustainability: Legal Barriers and Opportunities (Cambridge University Press, 2015), and the monograph Towards a Sustainable European Company Law (Kluwer Law International, 2009). She has also published a number of papers, notably on EU company law and the integration of sustainable development.

Sophie Nachemson-Ekwall is affiliated researcher at Center for Sustainable Markets Research CSRM, Stockholm School of Economics Institute for Research SIR (2018–). She was previously affiliated with Center for Governance and Management Studies CGMS, where she received her doctoral degree 2012 (2007–2018).

Her research focuses on corporate governance, long-termism, institutional investors, inclusive market economy, multiple models of ownership/associations and theory of the firm. She has published a number of articles and books and is frequently invited for seminars and panels. Tone Lunde Bakker is CEO of Swedbank Norway. She has previously held several key positions in major banks, including Country Manager for Danske Bank Norway. She joined Danske Bank as it was established in Norway and was central in building the banks position in the Norwegian market. Bakker holds a double Bachelor degree in finance and international business from Arizona State University, as well as continuing education as an Authorized Financial Analyst (AFA) from NHH. She has also held several board positions, among others Eksportfinans AS and Krogsveen AS. Today, she chairs the Nomination Committee and Corporate Assembly in Equinor, and she is the deputy chair in the Norwegian-Swedish Chamber of Commerce (NSHK) board.

Carine Smith Ihenacho was appointed Chief Corporate Governance Officer on 1 January 2018. She joined Norges Bank Investment Management in August 2017 as Global Head of Ownership Strategies. Prior to joining Norges Bank Investment Management, Ms Ihenacho was Vice President Legal and Global Chief Compliance Officer in Statoil ASA. She has more than 20 years’ experience as a lawyer, working in both financials and the oil and gas industry, as well as in law firms. She also has extensive board experience. Ms Ihenacho holds a law degree from the University of Oslo, a Masters of Law from Harvard Law School and a Master of Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

Kristin Skogen Lund is CEO of Schibsted. She has previously been Director General of the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise, EVP at Telenor, CEO of several Schibsted brands, and held several positions at the Coca-Cola Company, Unilever and the Norwegian Embassy in Madrid. Further, Kristin Skogen Lund has served as president of the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise and as a member of the boards of Ericsson and Orkla, among others. She has been a member of the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate and the ILO Global Commission on the Future of Work. She holds an MBA from INSEAD and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon.

Mary Meaney is a Senior Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Paris Office.  She is co-Convener of McKinsey’s Organization Practice globally, and the co-author of Leading Organizations: Ten Timeless Truths. 

Over the last 20+ years, she has served leading pharma, consumer products, energy, basic materials, telecommunications, and public sector organizations on their most important transformation, change management, top team alignment and performance improvement efforts.

Mary is a co-founder of the McKinsey Women’s Initiative, which aims to promote women leaders in business.

In this context, she regularly participates in McKinsey research evaluating the progress of women in leadership in the corporate world, and recommending means of fostering it.

Tina Moe has 20+ years of business management experience, including Senior Vice President roles within the pharmaceutical, engineering, automation and IT consultancy industries working for Novo Nordisk, NNE and ALECTIA, with responsibility for 750 employees and a turnover of NOK 1,6 bn.

 She is author of the book “Leadership of the Future – how to lead in a world that looks nothing like the past”, gives keynote talks and supports executives and boards in understanding and transforming to the new requirements. She furthermore works at a systemic level e.g. contributing to UN GCs new management guide on the sustainable development goals and advocating for a global shift in leadership mindset. Tina Moe holds several Board of Directors’ positions.

Bjørn Kjærand Haugland is the Chief Executive Officer of Skift Business Climate Leaders.

Skift is a business-led climate initiative. Our mission is to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy and support the government in delivering on its national climate commitments by 2030. The coalition hopes to demonstrate, to businesses and the government, the business potential that exists in the low-carbon economy and help drive the transition.

He is the former Executive Vice President and the Chief Sustainability Officer in DNV GL Group. In his capacity as CSO for DNV GL group he oversees the groups sustainability performance and drives company-wide sustainability initiatives. Haugland has extensive experience assisting multinational companies in areas such as corporate sustainability, innovation and business development.
He worked in Korea in the period 1995 to 1997. From 2004 to 2008 he was the Country Chair and responsible for DNV’s operation in Greater China.

Haugland is today a board member at the University of Bergen, WWF, the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO), Kezzler and Zeabuz.

Haugland has a M.Sc. in Naval Architecture – Marine Structures and Hydrodynamics – from The Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim and he attended the “Strategic International Leadership” programme at International Institute for Management Development (IMD).

Camilla works as a Business Development Manager in Orkla International Sales. She is also one of the owners of Canica Group, one of the largest privately owned investment companies in Norway. She serves as the Chair of the Board of Canica Investor, and holds several board positions within other corporate companies including Canica and Jotun. Camilla is a graduate of Kings College London and University of Oslo along with obtaining executive education from BI, Norwegian Business School and Harvard. She holds several years of experience within retail, sustainability, consumer behavior, marketing, management, business development and strategy. Camilla is passionate about working to always improve the environmental and social footprints of Canica and Orkla was recently ranked among the top 100 most sustainable companies in the world by WEF. Being an advocate for women and health she is a Founding Member of Maverick Collective and also Nexus Norway. Henrik Syse is Research Professor at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO), and Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies at Bjørknes University College. He also teaches regularly at the Norwegian Defense University College, MF (the Norwegian Free School of Theology), the University of Oslo, and other institutions of higher learning, and he is Chief Editor (with James A. Cook) of the Journal of Military Ethics. He was Head of Corporate Governance for Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), which manages Europe’s largest sovereign wealth fund, from 2005 to 2007, and he continued, until 2009, as an advisor and consultant on social issues for NBIM. Henrik has published widely in the fields of philosophy, politics, and ethics, he was nominated as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2007, and he is a much-used lecturer in Norway and abroad. Mr Espen Egil Hansen, born 1965 is the Editor-in-Chief AND CEO of Aftenposten, Norway’s most esteemed and influential newspaper. Hansen joined Aftenposten after more than 20 years at VG, Norway’s most-read newspaper. His final job at VG was heading VG Nett, the newspaper’s online arm, Norway’s most-visited news destination.

In September 2016 Hansen made worldwide headlines when he openly challenged Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg on the issue of censorship. Facebook had taken the controversial decision to remove Nick Ut’s iconic photograph, “The Terror of War”, which depicts a naked and burning Kim Phuc fleeing her firebombed village. Hansen’s, and Aftenposten’s principled stand led Facebook to relent and allow the photo, and contributed to an ongoing discussion of their role as an editor of information.

Hansen began his career as a journalist in 1985, working for seven years as a photojournalist. He correctly understood that the Internet would reshape the media business, which led him to be one of the founding employees in VG’s digital departments.

Mr. Hansen is a member of The Board of Directors of INMA, The International News Media Association.
